Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy — Precision DPF Services
Effective date: 8/1/2026. This policy describes how Precision DPF Services ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our services, visit our website, or communicate with us. It applies to our Katy, TX and New Caney, TX locations and to www.precisiondpf.com.
What We Collect
Contact information. Your name, company name, phone number, email address, and mailing or billing address — provided when you request an estimate, check in at our shop, ship a part to us, or contact us.
Vehicle and service information. Vehicle year, make, model, VIN, license plate, unit number, mileage, and engine details; fault codes; the reason for your visit; test results, measurements, and findings; and photos of your vehicle, filters, and components taken during inspection and service. This information becomes part of your service report.
Authorization and signature. When you check in on our in-shop sign-in kiosk or sign a service authorization, we record your printed name, the services you selected, the terms you agreed to, and an image of your signature, along with the date and time.
Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits of a card, but we do not store your full card number, security code, or bank account credentials on our systems.
Communications. Text messages, emails, and voicemails you exchange with us. If you separately opt in to receive text messages, we also record the date, time, and method of your opt-in (for example, that you checked the optional "text me service updates" box on our sign-in form). Giving us your phone number does not by itself opt you in to texts.
Website and link activity. When you open an estimate, invoice, or service report we send you by link, we record that the link was opened and when, so we know you have received it. Our website may use standard cookies and analytics to understand how the site is used; these do not identify you personally.
How We Use It
To perform and document your service. Diagnosing, cleaning, testing, and repairing your equipment; preparing estimates, invoices, and service reports; and keeping a service history for your vehicles so we can serve you better on your next visit.
To communicate with you. Sending estimates and invoices, approvals, test results, pickup and shipping notices, appointment reminders, and responses to your questions — by phone, email, or, only if you have separately opted in, text message. Texting is optional and is never a condition of service. See our Texting & Communications Policy for how to opt in and opt out.
To bill and collect payment. Creating invoices, processing payments, applying credits, and following up on balances due.
To meet our legal and warranty obligations. Keeping records of work performed, warranties issued, and authorizations signed; responding to warranty claims; and complying with tax, safety, and regulatory requirements.
To run our business. Maintaining our records, protecting against fraud, improving our services, and — only if you have not opted out — letting you know about offers we think are relevant to your fleet.
How We Share It
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile number or your text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in data, consent, and phone numbers are used only to communicate with you about your service and are not shared with anyone for marketing.
We share information only as needed to serve you, with:
Service providers who work on our behalf. Companies that process payments, send our text messages and emails, host our software and store our documents and photos, and ship parts. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
Vehicle data services. We may submit a VIN to public vehicle-decoding and compliance-status services (for example, to identify the engine or check California CARB Clean Truck Check status). A VIN identifies a vehicle, not a person, and we do not send your contact information with it.
Shipping carriers. Your name, address, and phone number, when we ship a part to you.
When required by law. If we are required to by a subpoena, court order, or legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or yours.
With your direction. For example, if you ask us to send a report to your fleet manager, insurer, or another repair shop.
Shareable Links
Estimates, invoices, and service reports we send you by text or email open through a private link. These links are long, unguessable, and are not listed anywhere public — but anyone who has the link can open it. Please don't forward a link to someone you don't want to see the document. If you believe a link has been shared inappropriately, contact us and we will disable it.
How We Protect It
Your information is stored in secured, access-controlled systems and transmitted using encrypted connections. Access is limited to staff who need it to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
How Long We Keep It
We keep service records — including service reports, photos, test results, invoices, and signed authorizations — for as long as reasonably needed to support your vehicle's service history, honor warranties, and meet our legal and tax obligations, typically [7] years. We may keep basic contact and vehicle information for as long as you remain a customer. You may ask us to delete information we are not required to keep; see Your Choices below.
Your Choices
Texting. We text you only if you have separately opted in — texting is optional and not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving messages; reply HELP for help. Declining or opting out of texting does not affect your service — we will reach you by phone or email instead.
Marketing. You may opt out of promotional messages at any time by replying STOP, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or contacting us. Service-related messages (approvals, results, pickup notices, invoices) will continue while we are servicing your equipment.
Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us at info@precisiondpf.com or 346-594-1045. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first. We may decline to delete records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices and signed authorizations.
Cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings. The website will still work if you disable them.
Children
Our services and website are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
